The tension mounts

The glyphs are almost ready but they need a coat of clear acrylic for protection. I have come across some info where they say a coat of gloss and another of matte (very light) to deaden the shine provides good protection--but don't know where I got that info from. Sounds like another foray to the craft shop!

Before the glyphs can be glued down, I need to create the false undershirt and sew down some snaps. In addition, Dr. Zaius will also need a good pair of orangutan shoes. Don't know if I will sculpt one for him and paint it as I have for the soldier, Zira and Cornelius, or if I will sew one up. I am tempted to try sewing him a pair--I've got all these ideas that have not been tried yet. Experimentation is a good thing. Oh yes...and he will also need a cool-looking cane, too! Maybe I should make him a pair of sunglasses because he needs it with all his bling!
